ORRVILLE, Ohio – Central American Medical Outreach received a $5,100 grant from the Wayne County Community Foundation to fund a tow motor with a side shifter attachment fork.
Each year, CAMO provides more than 140,000 life-saving services to impoverished people in Central America who otherwise would not have access to aid.
CAMO-USA collects, sorts, repairs and distributes donated equipment and supplies to assist disadvantaged Central American populations. To accommodate CAMO’s steady growth and to manage increasing donations, CAMO’s redistribution center recently began using additional warehouse space across the street from its original 322 Westwood Ave. location. The tow motor will be used to sort, store, move, load and redistribute supplies and equipment in-house and from one CAMO warehouse space to the other.
CAMO is accepting donations to help with the cost of shipping supplies to Honduras. Supplies must reach the CAMO-Honduras receiving site before volunteers from the States arrive in February to put them to use.
