Expanding Access to Mammograms
CAMO runs mammography centers in Santa Rosa de Copán and Corquín. They offer low-cost screenings for women across western Honduras.
Between May 2024 and April 2026, CAMO performed 3,085 mammograms. Screenings grew from 1,236 in the first period to 1,849 in the second—a 50% increase.
During the past year, CAMO partnered with 13 regional organizations. These partnerships bring critical health services directly into local communities.
Real stories sit behind these impressive numbers. In 2025, doctors identified abnormalities in 9 patients. This early detection allowed these women to get fast treatment.
A mammogram offers more than a simple test result. It gives women a chance to take action and protect their future.
